Why negotiate as a group? Impatience can cost you big dollars! The more acreage you bring to the table, the more leverage you have to negotiate. The NorthEast Arlington Organization (NEAO) is currently working on getting as many property owners to join the group as possible in order to have a better negotiation position for you. Some property owners have signed as individuals for as little as $500 or less an acre, while the Star-Telegram reports that groups have negotiated for as much as $26,000 an acre. The NEAO is asking you to stop before you burn up your investment opportunity. Just consider these elements of the negotiation process:

1. Be Patient! There is no need to rush into anything. There is time!

2. Negotiate as a group, not individuals, in order to get the biggest return for your investment dollar.

3. Group communication through this website, emails and meetings is critical.

4. Put a knowledgeable committee in place and allow them to negotiate for the group.
